This cookbook is beautifully designed. The unique concept has encouraged me to try more meatless options with confidence. Damaris talks about the food with love and honesty. Most of the recipes are shown with perfect illustrations.
My husband and I are vegan and we both love this book. There are carnivore, vegetarian, and vegan versions listed for recipes, which is so helpful for people that are transitioning between diets, or just trying something out. There is something in it for everybody. We both highly recommend this cookbook to anyone who loves food and wants to cook some delicious meals.
I enjoy this chef on her television show, had thought some of the recipes from her show may be in the book. (but not so). I enjoyed the read of the book and may use a few of the recipes.
I've loved Damaris's recipes and the instruction that goes along with them, while watching Southern at Heart and now Bobby and Damaris! Her Facebook Live shows are fun to watch. So, buying the book was a no-brainer! The side dishes are so different from what I'm used to seeing, but so suited for the upcoming holidays. The desserts sound scrumptious, and I'm starting easy, with a pound cake! The book is a fun read, as each recipe has an explanation or story to go along. The photos of Damaris and Darrick are cute, too! I'm seriously thinking about buying the Kindle version so that I can plan meals and shopping lists while sitting at the doctor's office or waiting at the car wash!

My favorite is the Meatless Meatloaf. This is my 'go to' book when I need a veggie alternative for my husband. I so enjoy finding the way Damaris creates a dish and then gives me a meat alternative! I am a carnivore and hubby is a vegetarian so the options are endless. I keep my cookbooks out and a friend came over, saw it, and could not put it down! I surprised her with a copy of the book the next week. Thank you Damaris for giving us this gift of your meat alternative recipes!!!!
i love damaris and her book does not disappoint. not only is it gorgeous to just look at, but the recipes are delightful and i love all the tips about making swaps to make a recipe vegetarian or vegan
Love, love, love the book! I have gone back and forth between vegan, vegetarian and meateater so much over the years it will make your head spin, mostly for health reasons. The one problem I always ran into was how do I feed the rest of my family that aren't cutting out things without having to make 2 different meals? This book answers that question with the solution of giving ideas of what proteins or other things to add to sub out veggie ingredients for the rest of the family. Great concept that is friendly to everyone and not just focused on veggies only
I love reading and hearing Damaris voice in my head. I like she puts many options in her recipes and makes it easier to understand how to convert my own recipes into plant based. Thanks for such a great book.
